TORRINGTON, CT, March 24—Community Health & Wellness Center has partnered with Friendly Hands Food Bank to host a “Care Connect” event on Tuesday, March 29th, from 11 am until 1 pm, in the medical lobby of their 469 Migeon Avenue location. The final “Care Connect” in a series organized by Friendly Hands Food Bank, the CHWC event sponsors include the B.E.R.E.A.D.Y. Project, Torrington Community Soup Kitchen, Greenwoods Referral Service, Dunkin’ Torrington and Harwinton, and Mr. & Mrs. Beebe of Winsted.
“Care Connect” is free and open to the public. During the event, CHWC will provide COVID vaccine information, information on diabetes education, blood pressure screenings, HIV and Hep C testing, information on its Behavioral Health services and group sessions, and information on dental services. CHWC will also be handing out home test kits for COVID, masks, and glucometers. Giveaways by Friendly Hands and event sponsors include clothing, toiletries, shoes, gift cards, and more.
