Community Health & Wellness Reopens Winsted Facility Full Time

​Community Health & Wellness Center (CHWC) announces it has reopened its Winsted healthcare facility located at 10 Center Street full time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.

CHWC temporary closed the facility during the pandemic in spring 2020 and reopened for two days per week in the fall before going to its pre-COVID full-time schedule this month.  The Winsted center is currently offering medical and behavioral health services, has a Quest lab onsite, and receives a daily delivery from its Torrington pharmacy, Community Health Rx.  CHWC anticipates reopening the Winsted facility‘s dental services in the near future.
 
CHWC’s Winsted medical providers are Dr. Christina Lee, who is board certified in family medicine, and Tiffany Cesca, APRN, who is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. Licensed clinical social workers in Winsted are Martha “Martie” Boyer, who takes appointments in Winsted on Tuesday, and John Renzulli, who is available for appointments on Thursday. 
 
“We are pleased to be able to provide our healthcare services once again to the Winsted community in our state-of-the-art facility,” said Joanne Borduas, CEO of CHWC.  “It’s also a benefit to our patients that our two new Winsted medical providers are able to treat the entire family. It is also a great convenience for our patients to be able to have their lab work done at the time of their appointment. Our two behavioral health therapists provide a vital service that supports mental health and wellbeing.”
 
CHWC takes most insurances, including Husky/Medicaid.  For patients without health insurance coverage, the center provides financial assistance and sliding scale fees for those who qualify, and no one is ever turned away,
