TORRINGTON, CT—Community Health & Wellness Center (CHWC) is pleased to announce that Melanie Mollica, APRN, has joined the Federally Qualified Health Center’s (FQHCs) medical team in Torrington. Her start date is April 26th, and patients can begin booking appointments with her after April 15th. Mollica graduated cum laude from Yale University School of Nursing in 2003. She has been in primary care practice in the Torrington area for almost 20 years, and from 2008 until 2014 she served as a Nurse Practitioner at CHWC.
Mollica has special interests in women’s health and mental health and incorporates both traditional and homeopathic medicine in her practice. She is fluent in Spanish and has developed long-lasting relationships with her patients. “I am thrilled to return to Community Health and Wellness Center,” said Mollica. “Working at a Federally Qualified Health Center is gratifying, and I am proud to provide the high-quality care that CHWC patients deserve.” Mollica is married with four boys, a Great Dane, and a Lab. While her work as a practitioner is fulfilling, in her free time Mollica enjoys attending sporting events with her family. She is also an avid reader, and dedicated to cooking, health, and fitness. “Melanie is a valuable addition to our medical team, and we are delighted to welcome her back to our Torrington facility,” said Joanne Borduas, CEO, CHWC. “Her experience working in the Federally Qualified Health Center environment and fluency in Spanish are great assets to the communities we serve.
