HIV Medical Care
Infectious disease and primary care services at CHWC are funded through a Ryan White CARE Act grant from the federal Health
Resource & Service Administration. The Ryan White CARE Act funds cities, towns, states, and other public or nonprofit organizations to develop and operate more effective, cost-efficient systems for delivering health care and support services to medically underserved individuals and families affected by HIV disease. The Ryan White CARE Act established a variety of programs which address the unmet health needs of persons living with HIV disease. These programs are designed to improve the quality of care and access to community-based HIV outpatient services.
